Dear Keith and the HVK Board,

Risa and I would like to express our appreciation to you and the organization for recognizing Zachary's academic achievements. There is no greater feeling in our lives as parents then when our children are the source of our pride. It was heartwarming to see not only Zachary's coaches, but the standing ovation the entire board gave him congratulating him on his selection to the Eastern Region Scholar Athlete Team.

Jerinda was the driving force in getting us an application and helping in filling it out correctly. All his coaches; Joe, Russ, Eric, Al and Mike have been giving him a different education, teaching him structure, new skills and teamwork. They have been motivational and have helped mold Zachary's character.

It felt like everyone in the organization was as proud of Zach as we were! That is the wealth that this organization possesses. You are rich with people who sacrifice of themselves with their time, materials and abilities to help each team member reach their maximum potential. We felt that pride when everyone cheered for one of their extended family achieving a milestone, as the first Knight to ever receive this honor.

We are humbly grateful to all of you for treating Zachary like your own. It would have been enough if the Region provided the awards but it was much classier to have the Board send him off as the Hudson Valley Knight Representative with the entire organization behind him. Zachary has a beautiful smile but you made it much bigger on Tuesday night and the feelings went much deeper.

Thank you for supporting him and in support of the organization we would like to purchase five Saturday Night Lights Raffles in his honor.

I will purchase them tonight at the Mahoney's fundraiser. Keep up the great work you are doing for the youth of our community. You are all shining examples of what hard work and teamwork can accomplish.

The future is looking very bright for our kids because of selfless people like yourselves doing an exceptional job.
